Star Trek makes use of the age old assertion that black cats are mysterious creatures with supernatural powers in two of my favorite episodes. Cats close to witches and shamans were considered familiars and shapeshifters; it was once believed they could make that change nine times. go to Star Trek episode: Assignment Earth

The Cat's Diary

Day 983 of my captivity.

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.

They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets.
Although I make my contempt for the rations per fectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape.
In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet.
I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates my capabilities. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a 'good little hunter' I am.

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices last night. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event.
However, I could hear the noises and smell the food.
I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of 'allergies.'
I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow, but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches.

The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released, and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded. The bird must be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe.

For now...

A Zodiacal Cat: Venus in Leo as the Lion and Venus in Scorpio as the Panther

Venus, the Social Urge, is a benefic planet. The Intelligence of Venus rules the second zodiacal sign Taurus, the Winged Bull [fixed earth Kerub] and the seventh zodiacal sign Libra, the Balance [cardinal air, the Autumn Equinox].

Venus is exalted in the sign Pisces; the Two Fishes [altruistic, poetic, gaining and dispensing other-worldly skill and interpretation]. Venus has her Fall in the earthy sign of Mercury, Virgo the Earth Mother, and is Detrimented in the signs Scorpio and Aries.

Venus in Leo represents the Winged Lion [fixed fire Kerub]

Venus indicates negotiating skill, motivational style in diverse groups, and the temptations one must overcome in life.

When near the Moon, Venus glows in her ideal social circle. There may be an opalesque quality to the aura just outside the electro-magnetic field, particularly during a full moon. This is because Luna will magnify the character of any heavenly body that is close by. If the Moon is also in Leo [radix, progressed, and/or transiting] the influence may be used in worlds of drama, public speaking, and fashion. If Venus in Leo is near the Moon in Virgo, there will probably be a similar visual view of the electro-magnetic field "insulation" but the associated activity would embrace architectural design, garden schemes, and self-healing techniques such as modifications in diet, sleep habits, and fitness routine.

Professor McGonagall [Maggie Smith] represents, in the suit cards, the Queen of Wands, or the watery part of Fire – and outstanding combinations of fluidity and colour. Also, she rules in the Zodiac from the 21st degree of Pisces to the 20th degree of Aries, as adjusted to the transition for Aquarian Era allocations.

Her crown is topped with the winged globe that represents the universe, and rayed with flame [note her signature hat with an octagon edge and sharp, pointed top, sometimes with two long pheasant feathers]. Her long red golden hair flows down upon her armour of scaled mail. She is seated upon a throne of flame, ordered into geometrical light by her material power. McGonagall wears emerald green and rich velvet black robes that represent the life force throughout agriculture.

Beneath the throne the surging flames are steady. She bears a wand in her left hand; but it is topped with a pine cone, representing power of regeneration. The pine cone is suggestive of the many mystery drama themes of ancient temples and pre-Roman rites. The characteristics of the Queen are adaptability, persistent energy, calm authority which she knows how to use to enhance her attractiveness. She is kindly and generous with an immense capacity for friendship, steadfastness, and for love. Hidden and sub-text layers suggest and allude to the transmigration of soul mates until they reunite. Professor Minerva McGonagall teaches Transfiguration at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The tabby cat is comfortable in the light of sun and moon, but the panther prefers a nocturnal life under the stars.

The First Lady of Magic - Minerva McGonagall

Venus high in the chart [above the horizon in houses seven through twelve] favor activities re Venus related themes that will be seen in full view of the general public.

Highly recognizable Venus can blend social action with profession, so that ordinary, daily business may bring a degree of financial gain and create good will and friendliness. Actual or potential clients, colleagues, and others, who play some part in the networking world of business can see light at the end of the tunnel. Also, the above-the-horizon position for Venus bodes well for certain matters of a political nature, and any artistic and kindred sides of life.

When Venus activates the eighth house, for example, research [medical, occult, and speech pathology], reform [political, legal], and renovation [real estate, first home fixer upper] may be very attractive.

Venus in the ninth house may encourage spiritual pursuits, philosophical thought influenced by women and matriarchal systems, and foreign travel. Some with Venus in the ninth department of life dedicate themselves to missionary work or renounce while in the process of intense study and preparation for public teaching. However this could also support marriage to someone from, or in, another country, while aboard a ship at sea, or travelling en route via an other carrier. The movie Avatar would certainly come under the heading of Venus is the ninth house.

William Lilly [c.1647] contributes his well established view on the topic of Venus in Leo:
Venus in Leo gives a person reasonably tall of stature, well-composed body, clear complexion, round face [Virgo and Libra tend to an oval shape, Scorpio more broad], and full eye... They are petulant and passionate, soon angry, and soon pleased again; extroverted, generous, sociable, and good-humoured, but rather proud, and frequently indisposed, though not seriously.

Sarah Douglas

Sun in Sagittarius in the third decan Sagitta, the arrow that the archer shoots according to one's aim. This Leo decanate of Sagittarius, ruled by the sun, usually aims high and far as the consciousness expands and is enlightened. Through concentration and intelligent perception the illusions can be separated from the reality. High ideals keep one ever striving after greater and greater goals. The keyword is Illumination.

Sarah Douglas was born with Mercury [how we think] exactly on the cusp of Scorpio-Sagittarius, in conjunction with several important fixed stars. Technically, Mercury is in the first decan of Sagittarius, Lyra, the ancient harp that was played with such skill by Orpheus and David, and which can produce heavenly music. This double Sagittarius decanate ruled by Jupiter symbolizes higher consciousness and attunement to celestial vibrations through dedicated effort and practice. Aspiration for the divine and spiritual awareness may be realized by sincere effort. The keyword is Devotion.

BABYLON 5 - DEATHWALKER episode, Sarah Douglas as a notorious criminal scientist, the last of her race, who has the secret of immortal life in a test tube. Douglas has Mercury on the cusp of Scorpio-Sagittarius, in conjunction with Scorpio Beta star, Acrab. According to tradition, these cusp stars [crown of Scorpion forehead] are credited with giving the ability to do research, and especially research into things of a particularly secret and hidden nature. go Babylon 5

CONAN THE DESTROYER - Queen of an ancient people who worship the Dreaming God [Mercury-like immortal] in the second Conan film about the risks and benefits of clearing Mercury. Sarah Douglas has her Mercury conjunct Sagittarius Alpha (α) [29 Scorpio 29']. Toliman's splendor naturally made it an object of worship on the Nile, and its first visible emergence from the sun's rays, in the morning at the autumnal equinox, has been connected by Lockyer with the orientation of at least nine temples in northern Egypt dating from 3800 to 2575 B.C., and of several in southern Egypt from 3700 B.C. onward. As such object of worship it seems to have been known as Serk-t.

SUPERMAN - Sarah Douglas is the outlaw Ursa, the evil right hand to General Zod, who attempted to rule the planet Krypton. She hates all men, with the exception of The General. She escaped from the Phantom Zone, along with General Zod and Non when a Hydrogen bomb which Superman disposed of in space shattered the outer shell of the eternal void. Sarah Douglas portrayed Ursa in SUPERMAN (1978) and SUPERMAN II (1981).

Minerva McGonagall wears spectacles in human shape, and these are transformed
with the Animagus but form part of the resulting tabby cat's markings. Dolores
Umbridge's Patronus is a cat. Kingsley Shacklebolt's Patronus is a lynx.

Patronus

A silvery-white, conjured creature, the Patronus is used against Dementors and Lethifolds.

· A Patronus is created by using the Patronus Charm. In the Harry Potter series the technique will usually produce a silvery-white creature [animated] or a shapeless silvery mist. The "corporeal Patronus" takes the form of an actual creature (corporeal means having a physical form, from "corpus," Latin for, 'body'). In the East, there are variations. Usually we discover non-animated figures in contrast to the Western style of manipulation.

· After a severe emotional upheaval, a witch's or wizard's Patronus may change form; this happened to Tonks after Sirius' death, when her Patronus seems to have taken the shape of a wolf (HBP).

THE BLACK CAT

Black cats are said to be the most affectionate of all cats, yet national statistics show they are the least frequently adopted cats at animal shelters. The same is true of black dogs, the hardest canines to find new homes once they are sent to a shelter. During the military era [Piscean Age] when people fear what they cannot see with physical eyes, cats are often associated with night and the unknown - whatever we cannot trust to act by reflex in our favor. Cats are linked with the moon, almost exclusively, and the passive mode of feminine intuition and perception. They can easily be relegated to the category of the unmanageable, unknowable, and noncompliant.

Cats have even been demoted as traditional guardians of the home, temple and sacred spaces to a type of composite cat guardian that appears to be part dog and part cat. In reality, cats operate outside the range of the two lights, the sun and moon, that represent the physical eyes. Cats respond to an astral type light that uses light from both the sun and moon, and includes the stars which are in the same "imagination orbit" they target.

Before the Olympian pantheon rose to power, the panther was one of the most popular symbols of the Goddess religion. Domestic cats share their heritage with 10 wild species of felidae: lions, leopards [panther], cheetahs, caracals, servals, swamp cats, golden cats, black-footed cats, sand cats, and African wildcats. All black cats were considered good luck. Should a black cat appear at your door, it was thought to be a messenger of good luck and so would be welcome inside the home. Cats are helpful when property and homes are dowsed because they automatically go to magnetic and water lines. When they curl up and take a nap you know the best location for the bed or sofa in front of your big screen and entertainment system. In addition, it is said if you dream of a black cat, then you will have good luck. In some cases, cats scout out and measure negative lines or areas where there may be a drain on living things [and people] in the general vicinity. If moving into a home or office, it may be smart to let a cat wander around for a few hours and map the space before placing furniture, especially if you are going to pitch something to someone in an office setting. In the theatre world, a black cat’s presence has been credited with bringing about show-stopping performances.

TIP: Avoid setting up interviews, phone calls, and PR releases where your cat hesitates, stops, or sleeps. Anyone you are attempting to win over to your point of view will probably lose interest if that is the area where you have a meeting.

Who is the next Catwoman?

Angelina Jolie wants to be Catwoman in a Batman film, according to the actress who first played the role on TV.

Julie Newmar said Jolie, who had twins with lover Brad Pitt recently, has been asking film bosses about landing the role.

She added: "Angelina would own the part. My industry friends tell me that she has already made enquiries about the role. "And I can understand how it would pique her interest - Catwoman is Batman's one true love."

Julie Newmar was the first Catwoman in the original Batman TV series, starring Adam West, in the 60s. Lee Meriwether was the Catwoman in the first Batman movie.

Michelle Pfeiffer played her in the 1992 movie and Halle Berry in 2004."
